I really like this stitch, that is easy to make and can create a very versatile fabric. Looks great in denser or lacier texture, depending on which hook you are using.

Placemat
In my opinion, this stitch makes great place mats /table mats. I used fingering weight cotton and 3mm (US side D) hook. I chained 75, and did 35 rows of the above stitch, using 1 skein (50g) of Alize’s Bella Batik design (180m/50g) per mat.
