This spring has probably been one of the most weird periods of my life. The quarantine and the Covid scare have turned into a true emotional roller-coaster, with positive and negative feelings so deeply intertwined…
However, there has been one constant over these months – the joy of following CAL’s with a very talented Russian designer – Nadia Dunaeva. She’s not only gifted in creating amazing crochet pieces, but is an amazing teacher – supportive and caring, very generous about sharing her know-how and with her time. You can see her works in her Instagram profile. Some of those are also available for sale.
By now, I have completed two dresses, and am working on the third one.
The first one I have called Liquid Gold after the texture and the colour of the yarn I’ve used – Silken Straw from Alchemy Yarns (who sadly seem to be no longer in business). I used about 600 grams out which 2/3 are the skirt. The construction is quite simple top down one-piece.

I called the second one Etno. Here the front and back top parts are made sideways from the centre out, and then the skirt is worked top down in rounds.
