Log Cabin Love

I’ve been looking for a while at log cabin blankets for several reasons: modular structure that prevent over-stretching out, no sewing blocks together -yay!, and as block get bigger with the progress, there are fewer ends to weave in – yay too!

And I’ve stumbled upon a perfect free pattern – Moderne Log Cabin blanket that also has a fresh attractive look. So I’m happily stitching away on a blankie for my little one – we seem to have lost the old one, which wasn’t intended for her in the first place.

I love the project – mindless garter stitch, but changing colours, binding off and picking up stitches keep it from being boring.

ETA: here’s the finished blanket
