I only just recently realized that for some reason I haven’t published this pattern on my blog, only on Ravelry. It’s a hat I knitted for my son, with a panel in front done in illusion (shadow) knitting technique. The pattern is created using purl stitches on the WS rows of a garter stitch background. You need two contrasting colours, which you alternate every two rows. The resulting pattern can only be seen from certain angles. Ravelry group “Shadow and illusion knitting” has lots of information on how to create your own charts, in case anyone’s interested. Mine depicts the symbol of Konoha – Leaf Village from Naruto, a Japanese anime and manga :) I wrote the pattern long time ago, so if there’s anything that’s unclear, let me know.
