First Freeform Attempt

 My new-found love for Missoni designs led me to discovering crochet freeform and Irish Lace techniques. I was looking at quite a few models, and chose this top by Tatiana Akimenko:


I will however attempt to make it a small dress – I could use it as a beach dress (on those rare occasions) and as a decorative layer over top&jeans. 

I’ve selected some shiny bright-coloured viscose yarn. Initially I wanted to make it one-colour, as the original, but it looks like I won’t have enough yarn to do that.

I’ve started with the flower motives in yellow:

I never worked with viscose/rayon before, and I hope it blocks out….
