My recent finished projects

In the last couple of months (I guess since I have written up my craft goals), I have finished up quite a few projects, and I would love to show them off – in addition to ones that have already got their own post.

Crochet doilies.

I have made three, and really enjoyed them. I might even make some more. I was going through my stash today and came across gorgeous linen thread that I own since 1998. I now have a few hooks that are fine enough, and might put it finally to use. Anyways, I made two identical doilies as a gift.

I also made this one, and I still have it. My home is too much of a mess to put doilies anywhere…

Nichols poncho

This was my second commissioned order. I like the outcome quite a lot, although I struggled a bit while finishing it off. The pattern is from Anny Blatt, as is the yarn – Angora super and Victoria. It was very interesting to work with tape like glossy Victoria, although one has to be very careful not to split it. Angora was super soft, but it shed so much. Every time I worked on this project, I was covered in pink fluff head to toes, it’s still around my house. For this reason I couldn’t work on the poncho on the go…

In any case, after completing two commissions, I have decided that this is no for me. Knitting and crochet is my way to relax, to cope with anxiety. But I worry too much when it’s a paid order. Plus I do not think I can viably charge what I feel would be a fair price.

Key ring charm

The year of the yellow dog is approaching, so I had to make a small charm to bring me luck!

Purse

This was last minute gift for my daughter’s friend. It’s cool to be able to make something quickly, when it’s too late to shop. This project was very quick, turned out great and apparently the little girl loved it!
